  • Brahmin Priests often were in temples worshipping gods. They had writing called Sanskrit. Here the Brahmin priest is reading the Vedas.
  • Yes I will trade with you. I am a potter so please stop in my shop and buy some pottery.
  • Trade was common in Mohenjo-Daro and Harappa. They also had two story homes.
  • Are you willing to trade your pot for this basket of fruit?
  • The recent flood has had a great affect on my crops! The soil is so rich and filled with silt.
  • Monsoons brought rain often causing floods. Two citizens are discussing the recent flood.
  • So has the flood affected your crops yet?
  • It also was very common to grow Barley, Wheat, Corn , Chickpeas and many more.
  • Here a trader is setting off to trade past the HImalayas and Hindu Kush Mountains.
  • The Dalits or the "untouchables". People of higher classes thought touching them made them dirty.
  • The Kshatriyas are kings, cheiftans, and warriors.
  • The Sudras were farmers, servants and other unskilled workers
  • The Vaisyas were people who owned land, merchants, minor officials, and skilled trainors.
  • Brahmins are priests and religious teachers.
  • The Caste system was a social structure that placed people in jobs. The people were placed in the same caste as their parents.
