If this were to happen, then the United States, Britain, and France would have quickly and easily defeated the German. If we had defeated the Germans, then the bombing of Pearl Harbor would have never happened.
BAGPIPE: Belief Systems - Morality and Moral Values The people in the United States believed that remaining isolated from the war that was raging in Europe because of the precedence the first president, George Washington, set in his farewell address. In his address, Washington deeply advocated for the United States to stay out of any foreign affairs to ensure the nation’s own liberty and opinion. Another popular opinion within the American people is the ignorant thought that the war would only remain in Europe. American citizens thought that the United States did not have to enter the war because the war did not serve as a threat since a whole ocean separated Europe from the united States. SYNTHESIZE: America has had similar beliefs about their stances on wars, an example being their strong desire to remain neutral and isolated during World War I. When the war was declared in Europe, America chose to remain neutral. This idea of neutrality was also fully supported by the vast majority of Americans.
