DNA is in the nucleus, because it cant leave it goes through transcription
During transcription DNA splits in half or unzips and copies one strand. This one strand copy is called RNA
RNA can leave the nucleus and go through translation.
The mRNA goes to a ribosome ater it lleaves the nucleus
The ribosome reads the recipe in the mRNA and attaches amino acids together to make a protein.
If something in the DNA is messed up the organism won't get the proteins it needs.
