  • DNA is in the nucleus, because it cant leave it goes through transcription
  • During transcription DNA splits in half or unzips and copies one strand. This one strand copy is called RNA
  • RNA can leave the nucleus and go through translation.
  • The mRNA goes to a ribosome ater it lleaves the nucleus 
  • Amino acids
  • The ribosome reads the recipe in the mRNA and attaches amino acids together to make a protein.

  • If something in the DNA is messed up the organism won't get the proteins it needs.
