  • The Tea Act- May 10, 1773
  • 'Aye!
  • 'Aye!
  • 'Aye!
  • We need money to defray the expenses for defending the colonies! That money shall come from taxes. Therefore, I am suggesting the passing of the Tea Act. It will tax tea the colonies import. Any member of Parliament who agrees with me,say "'aye".
  • 'Aye!
  • 'Aye!
  • No Taxation Without Representation!
  • This is outrageous! The King just keeps on giving taxes!
  • And he doesn't even ask for our opinion on all these taxes he gives us!
  • We have to send representatives to talk for us. We can't let him tax tea now!
  • No, even if we do send people, the King won't listen. We have to do something else. But what?
  • I agree.
  • Dump All the Tea?
  • You're saying that we can make King George hear us if we show an act of defiance and we can do that by dumping all the tea that we import from them? Then, he'll get the message?
  • Precisely! When the ships carrying the tea come, we'll run on board and dump all the tea boxes. To make sure no one recognizes us, we will dress up like Indians with face paint and headdresses.
  • Boston Tea Party- Dec 16, 1773
  • This was a great idea! Maybe now the King will hear us!
  • Now we'll show Great Britain we don't need them... We don't need their tea!
  • Boston Port Act- March 25,1774
  • 'Aye!
  • Recently, as you all know, the colonists executed the infamous Boston Tea Party. They dumped all 340 tea boxes of the British East India Trading Company, exported on the tea ships the Dartmouth, the Eleanor and the Beaver. All that tea has to be paid for and until that debt is paid, Boston Harbor is shut down! This is now the Boston Port Act, passed as part of the Intolerable Acts. All who agree with me say "'aye"!
  • Let's Protest!
  • Exactly, and this time he's passing more than one law in one act!
  • But if we already acted, there's no going back now!
  • We agree. The plan might work.
  • Agreed! The Boston Tea Party already took place. We might as well go on. Let's protest!
  • Come on! We have to dump as much tea as possible. Otherwise, the King won't give us attention!
  • 'Aye!
  • 'Aye!
  • 'Aye!
  • Just how tyrannical can he be?! We clearly showed disdain for the Tea Act and now he passes another law!
