Storyboard Text

  • You don't know what goes on, on the other side......
  • That Brat of A Rat
  • By: Karen Ayoub
  • Yep and his father are preparing to go after the rat that has invaded their home. It has moved up into their walls and after fumigating, Father wants to take matters into his own hands.
  • You can't shoot that cannon off in my house.
  • Suit yourself. Come on son.
  • We will move out and get the rat using this gun given by Henry Loo.
  • Yes, sir.
  • I think I'll just stay here with mom.
  • They creep up the stairs with hopes of surprising it.
  • I expect you to have all ten fingers and toes when you finish.
  • Be on the look-out for the rat.
  • Yes, sir.
  • Yep and his father hide behind the couch and hope to surprise the rat so that they can shoot it. Father teaches Yep how to use a gun while they wait for the rat.
  • It's charging!
  • Oh, man. Run!!
  • They run out of the room when the rat starts to come closer to them. Its eyes start to glow so they go back to the store.
  • Zoom!
  • The rat is a spirit from the other-world and wants to use Yep or his father to transfer his spirit into theirs. When Yep and his father leave, he takes Eddy's spirit instead.
  • Now you're mine!
  • Eddy walks in after Yep and his father leave. He wants to try and catch the rat himself to prove to his father that he is a good son.
  • Whoosh!
  • The family doesn't realize it but Eddy is gone. The spirit that lived inside the rat has now taken over his body. As the family finds humor in the hunt, the rat is plotting his next move. We don't know what will happen next but we do know that the family will never be the same.
  • You can’t have a trophy head unless you shoot it.
  • That rat was doomed from the start.
  • Hey guys, now that the rat's gone, maybe we should celebrate!
  • Maybe some day we’ll find the corpse. Its head ought to look real good over the fireplace.
  • The End
