Storyboard Text

  • "..bulging fish eyes that pleaded not to be thrown into a pan of hot oil. " This is an example of personification, since the fish was "pleading" not to be cooked.
  • "A plate of squid, their backs crisscrossed with knife marking so they resembled bicycle tires." This is an example of a metaphor, because Amy is comparing the cuts on the squid to bicycle tires.
  • "A howl soaking dried fungus back to life. " This is an example of a metaphor because the fungus is "howling" (making an animal sound) back to life.
