Exposition: The story introduces us to Dupin, (the main investigator), and the narrator, (his partner). It also includes how the two met and became partners, as well as how each of them are and act.
Conflict: The murders in the Rue Morgue take place, and Dupin & the narrator read about it in the paper.
Rising Action: Dupin and the narrator, go to the house where the murders took place and begin to investigate it themselves.
Do you notice anything peculiar here?
Climax: Using the clues from him investigating the house earlier, as well as reading an article in the paper, Dupin deducts who the perpetrator is.
The markings here are not the mark of a human hand...
Falling Action: The owner of the culprit comes to Dupin's house in response to the answer of his ad. Dupin makes him tell him how the murders happened on Rue Morgue. They learn how the Ourang-Outang escaped and killed the women on Rue Morgue.
Resolution: Owner of the Ourang-Outang goes to the police station with Dupin and tell the officers what really happened and the innocent man wrongfully imprisoned for the crime is freed!
