Keala has been having some breathing problems and she goes to the doctor. She finds out that she had ling cancer
Keala had just woke up for school. She was getting ready and she had some trouble breathing. She was thinking that she was fine. She finished getting ready and she decided to go downstairs to talk to her mom about her breathing problems she's been having for a while.
Keala tells her mom and her mom is worried. Her mom keeps her home and decides to take her to the doctor.
"I'm worried." Keala says. Her mom agrees and she tries to reassure her saying, "Its OK. If anything bad happens, the doctor will tell us and we will figure it out. OK?" "OK." Keala says.
"I have some news. Keala is infected with lung cancer, but is not able to transmit very easily and people you see often won't be exposed to anything bad. But, she will not be able to go anywhere without a oxygen tank. The symptoms are, cough, breathing trouble, coughing up blood, chest pain, and pneumonia. I'm very sorry." The doctor says. "My estimate is that she will have to take about 2 pills every 4-6 hours every day for the rest of her life. You won't have to keep her quarantine or anything."
"What do we do?" Keala says. "We have to do what the doctor said, take your medications and be cautious." her mom said. "OK."
"Do you want to stay home, or keep going to school?" Keala's mom asks. "I would like to stay home in case of any emergencies." Keala answers. "OK."
