Storyboard Text

  • Here the three witches are talking about meeting again, preparing to create new shenanigans the next time they will see each other.
  • When should the three of us meet again? Will it be in thunder, lightning, or rain?
  • We’ll meet when the noise of the battle is over, when one side has won and the other side has lost.
  • That will happen before sunset.
  • They have found a place to make mischief, and are now planning on meeting Macbeth, presumably to make the predictions about his and Banquo's futures.
  • Where should we meet?
  • Let’s do it in the open field.
  • We’ll meet Macbeth there.
  • In these last words spoken the witches are basically saying that anything is "legal" and anything goes from that point on, no matter the consequences.
  • Fair is foul, and foul is fair; Hover through the fog and filthy air.
