Be ready to be executed for disobeying your father, to marry Demetrius as your father wishes, or to take a vow and spend the rest of your life's as a virgin priceless of the moon goddess.
This explains the theme because the daughter of Egeus, Hermia, wants to marry Lysander. Lysander is as admirable, as rich, as Demetrius but Egeus wants his daughter to marry Demetrius. Demetrius love she Hermia but Hermia does not love him. The king agrees that her father should make the decision of her marrying Demetrius. This explains that love is complicated due to Hermia being forced into a marriage with Demetrius, a man she does not love.
Hermia will either be executed or take a vow to become a nun if she does not follow her fathers wishes and marry Demetrius. This explains the theme due to Hermia having no way to marry the love she wishes, but forced to marrying Demetrius, the man her father wants her to marry.
