Storyboard Text

  • Climax
  • Theme: Making assumptions about people and how you can't always be sure about what appears on the surface.
  • Daisy and her husband, Tom, invite Nick and Gatsby over for dinner. While at dinner Gatsby reveals that he loves Daisy.
  • Falling Action
  • Gatsby and Daisy decides to take Tom's car into town. While driving, Daisy runs over Tom's mistress Myrtle by accident.
  • Myrtle's husband, Mr. Wilson, is told by Tom that Gatsby ran over his wife. Mr. Wilson assumes that Tom is telling the truth and goes to attack Gatsby.
  • Theme: Making assumptions about people and how you can't always be sure about what appears on the surface.
  • Resolution
  • Gatsby and Nick meet outside of Daisy's house. They see Daisy and Tom creating an insidious situation for Gatsby.
  • Gatsby ventures to his home and takes a swim. While swimming, Mr. Wilson shoots Gatsby to death, then kills himself.
  • Two years later Nick sees Tom and Daisy is town. He realizes that they are both bad people, who make society languish. Nick also realizes that Daisy did not ever love Gatsby.
