Hello! My name is Ayaz Nakhuda and I'm here to tell you a little bit about myself!
I love to play sports like baseball, hockey and soccer. I also like to play video games. Currently, I am not apart of any extra curricular activities but, I plan on joining some teams and clubs in the future.
My goal is to graduate from high school. From there I would like to get accepted into the software engineering program at the University of Waterloo.
My grade 9 year was okay but, I really didn't make the most out of it. For one, I didn't really get involved in the school with extra curricular activities and that was a missed opportunity for me. I also did not do so well with achieving the grades that I wanted. But this year I am determined to try my best and give it all that I've got to improve from last year.
My highlight from grade 9 was how well I did on my math exam as I got an 89%. This really surprised me as I did not know that could achieve something like this in math. Another highlight was gym class. Gym class taught me how to live a healthy life and how to have fun at school. It also made me realize that I am good at sports. One thing I did not like about grade 9 was my low involvement in the school regarding clubs, sports teams and other extra curricular activities.
Overall, I really like math as it challenges the brain and it is also very useful in the real world. Grade 9 math was a good course but one major downfall of that class is how we got a lot of homework and we usually rushed through units without fully understanding key concepts. But, I managed to pull through and I got an overall mark of 78% which was just short of my goal of an 80%. My strengths in math are algebra and geometry and my weakness in math is data management. My expectations in math this year is to get an overall mark of 80% as I know that I am not the best at math but, I am a hard worker and with that I can achieve that goal. I also would like to participate more in class and ask questions when necessary.
