  • Class: AP Art History Class Size: 25 students Grade Levels: 10-12

  • #1. Sunflower Seeds: Ai Weiwei Over 100 million porcelain sunflower seeds created by over 1,600 workers.
  • #3. Vietnam Veterans Memorial: Maya Lin The artist of this piece was chosen through a national contest and it is located in Washington D.C.
  • Goal 1: the students will be able to understand the impact that large-scale sculpture has had in the 21st century art world Goal 2: the students will make comparisons between contemporary sculptural examples and ancient ones
