Storyboard Text

  • No Rat Man! Stand up! I saw a report that 80% of rats get stepped on when they lay down!
  • Oh Scare Wolf, you've fallen victim to a source containing the Facts and Figures Fallacy. Largeness does not always equal significance. I bet those stats aren't reliable!
  • But everyone hates rats! All of my friends and family hate rats, so it must be true that no one likes rats, so it's logical that Rat Man would be stepped on.
  • Now you're using the Crowd Appeal Fallacy. Facts are not determined by the number of people who believe something. Just because you believe everyone hates rats because the people you know hate rats, it does not mean that the entire world want to step on rats.
  • Seriously?! I'm standing right here!
  • But, like, why are you scary?
  • Boo! I'm the ghost that haunts this candy shop. You should fear me because I'm a ghost, and ghosts are scary!
  • Because I'm a ghost! I'm naturally scary!
  • Um, I think you're arguing your point using the Arguing In Circles Fallacy. You aren't providing any real facts, therefore, your argument doesn't carry any real meaning to it.
  • Well, now you're using the Getting Personal Fallacy. You're confusing the merits of Logic Girl just because she likes the color red.  That data isn't even relevant to the argument she was making!
  • Ugh, you like red. Red is a color that shows anger. You're just angry because you're a red-lover!
  • Oh, ok. I mean, I was going to argue that your argument is invalid and that you're uninformed  because all wolves are not very smart, but then I'd be using the Guilt by Association Fallacy.
  • And that fallacy of logic is when you think a certain person or thing  in a group has the same characteristics that the group is stereotyped as having.
