The world is sinking progressively deeper into a mire of immorality. Secrets, lies, and hidden corners of the internet that specialize in satisfying the darkest, most depraved desires of humanity. One boy, 10 year old Solomon Davidson has had enough. He obsessively studies hackers and security systems, in exchange for any fiber of normality in his life, he uncovers the key to unlocking every byte of information, every route, every back door in the vast expanse of the web. He can now access any electronic device that has ever had wifi, broadband, cable, or has, in any way, ever been connected to another device that has been on any network. He uses this power to take over the world, and to force them into complete and utter honesty and submission. The problem is in the age-old proverb- absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Shadowhearts: War of Souls is the story of how Solomon loses sight of his convictions, turning the world into his own personal reality show. He abolishes marriage, religion, and organized protest, and reinstates slavery for every part of the world, saying that if you can't avoid being taken, you are at the mercy of the one who takes you. His moral decline isn't even close to hitting bottom when he has the mothers of his children murdered immediately after giving birth, sending his children off to live with strangers without even bothering to name them. All the while, there is someone who is praying for him to see what he has become, and that The Creator have mercy on him.
This story covers his rise to power, the decisions he makes that lead him down a long and lonely path of destruction, spiritual devastation, and sickness. It continues with the children, and the secrets, the deceptions, the rescues and condemnation that color their lives. New influences, and a surprise visit from a dying friend turn their lives upside down, pitting family against itself, climaxing in a war that Heaven and Hell can not ignore.
This is the first chapter of what I hope will become a very long series of stories.
