  • Exposition
  • I need to wake, Juliet! Help, help! Juliet is dead!
  • Conflict
  • Oh no! My only child! Get Help!
  • Such a sorrow filled day, look!
  • Rising Action
  • Death has taken her, like a flower taken by frost.
  • Juliet is dead!
  • The Nurse enters Juliet's room to wake her for the wedding. After many attempts to wake her the Nurse discovers she is dead. The Nurse calls for help and yells that Juliet is dead.
  • Climax
  • Death has taken her first!
  • Lady Capulet rushes to Juliet's room to meet the pleads of the Nurse. When Lady Capulet asks what the yelling is about she discovers that Juliet is dead and starts crying with the Nurse.
  • Falling Action
  • Woeful day!
  • Lord Capulet enters the room asking to seeJuliet and the Nurse and Lady Capulet yell that she is dead. At first he doesn't believe she's dead but he discovers that she is cold, stiff, and pale. The Nurse and Lady Capulet continue to cry.
  • Resolution
  • Prepare her wedding as a funeral now...
  • Friar Laurence comes to Juliet's room expecting her to be ready for her wedding. Lord Capulet tells Friar Laurence the news of Juliet's death. Paris enters the room and is told of Juliet's death from Lord Capulet. Lord Capulet explains that death has taken Juliet first and everything belongs to death now, they are all deepened with sorrow.
  • Lady Capulet is upset that death has taken her sweet child while the Nurse is yelling that she's never seen such a day filled with so much sorrow. Paris says to them that Juliet has been tricked by death and Lord Capulet cries that his child is dead, along with his happiness.
  • Tricked by death!
  • My sweet child!
  • Friar Laurence tells them acting this way will not bring Juliet back, they all stop and listen to him. Friar Laurence explains that they shared her with heaven and heaven has claimed her back. Lord Capulet tells them to change her wedding to a funeral and everyone needs to prepare for it.
