Storyboard Text

  • Today in science we are learning about like rocks or something like that, and I have to do a project on Galena.
  • First of all Galena is a mineral NOT a rock, and I know all about that mineral.
  • Lets go inside and I will tell you everything you need to know!!
  • I need to know everything about Galena, what do ya got??!
  • Galena's chemical composition is Pbs. The group the mineral belongs to is Sulfide. Its color streak is lead gray to black and a streak is the color of the mineral's powder. Galena's hardness is 2.5 and its cleavage is perfect, cublic, and 3 directions. Galena is also metallic.
  • I know I know, but I am not done yet! Some minerals that are harder than Galena are Quartz and diamonds, and some minerals that are softer than Galena is talc.
  • This is so much OMG!
  • Is she done yet??!!!
  • Galena's color is fresh surfaces that are bright sivler in color with a bright metallic luster, tarnishes to a dull lead gray. It also is in everyday appliances like the stove, a can opener, a blender, a refrigerator, and many more things!!
  • That's everything I know, hope it helped!!
