Don states to Goodman, "Maybe you better tell us.Nothing's working on this streeet.Nothing.No lights,no power,no radio.Nothing except one car-yours!"
Don states to Steve, " Myra talked about how there's been plenty of nights you spent hours down in your basement working on some kind of radio."
Charlie states to Steve ''No more talk Steve. You're going to talk us into a grave! You'd let whatever's out there walk right over us. Wouldn't yuh? Well some of us won't."
This scene is when Goodman's car started and nothing else is working on Mapple Street and Don gets mistrustful about Goodman, how his car is the only thing working on the street. This makes the residents in Mapple Street wary to Goodman.
This scene is when Don is trying to say that there is something strange how Steve spends nights on his radio. Steve gets angry and his wife defends him, "It's just a ham radio set, that's all. I bought him a book on it myself.It's just a ham radio set. A lot of people have them. I can show it to you. It's right down in the basement."
This scene is when Charlie shot Pete Van Horn because he thought it was the monster of Mapple Street. He got the residents of Mapple Street angry and cautions for killing Pete Van Horn.
