As the ice age ended humans begun hunting and gathering as part of their nomadic lifestyle
Time went on and these small groups of nomads began to settle and develop villages, but this made if more difficult to gather enough food in one area
But humans begun to realize that when seeds were planted in soil the food would grow, creating a more stable food supply
With the creation of basic agriculture humans also discovered that choosing the best crops produced larger and greater crops, genetic selection
Due to the surplus of food created by agriculture, more and more humans were being born as there was a large amount of food able to feed the population
Most of these new villages lived near rivers as they supplied a source of drinking water but also helped with the development of agriculture
