Christoper Columbus first reaches shores of South America, and then the Europeans head out to explore the foreign land, meanwhile Monctazuma, the Aztec emperor reads signs of something bad happening to him and his people.
The Spanish bottled the Tlaxcala as their first enemy. The Tlaxcala were conquered quickly, and to save their lives, the natives told the Spanish that they were also enemies of the Aztecs, and would fight the Aztecs alongside the Spanish.
The Aztec emperor named Moncteczuma invites the Spanish into Tenochtitlan and offers gifts of gold and wealth to the conquistadors. This is because the Aztecs believe that the Spanish are gods taking back their land. Moncteczuma is unaware that the Spanish are plotting an invasion.
The Spanish start destroying monuments, to try to satisfy the Spanish, Moncteczeuma offers gold. The Aztec emperor is taken hostage to the Spanish, then Monteczeuma is killed, this is where we first start to see the Spanish taking control over Tenochtitlan.
The Spanish begin to block the waterways to get in and out of Tenochtitlan, restricting food, water and supplies from being transported to the people, this creates disease and then the Spanish can invade and start wiping out the population.
The Spanish left ruins and destruction of buildings, wiped out nearly every Aztec citizen, and then began to establish a new colony and rebuilt from the ruins of the Aztec buildings.
