Chapter 5. Page 48. "We saw Uncle Jack every Christmas, and every Christmas he yelled across the street for Miss Maudie to come marry him." Miss Maudie is the neighbor who grew up with Uncle Jack and when he visits he never fails to propose.
Chapter 6. Page 58. Jem, Scout, and Dill peak through the Radleys window but only Jem goes up to the porch. A man inside hears and comes out, then Jem runs away. "Jem leaped off the porch and galloped towards us."
Chapter 7. Page 64. Jem and Scout find two soap bars carved with images of them inside a tree. "Jem let me do the honors: I pulled out two small images carved in soap. One was the figure of a boy, the other wore a crude dress."
