  • The main characters of the story are the narrator and the crow that came in. The setting of the story is at the narrator's house late at night.
  • Climax
  • While reading a book that brings back memories of Lenore, the narrator hears a tapping at the chamber door and he isn't sure what it is.
  • Falling Action
  • The rising action of the story is when the bird flies into the house and the narrator begins asking it questions, but the bird seems to only know one word, "Nevermore."
  • Resolution
  • The narrator gets angry at the bird and ask it to leave.
  • "You must leave now!"
  • "Nevermore."
  • The bird refuses to leave.
  • "Are you gonna leave?"
  • "Nevermore."
  • The narrator realizes that the bird isn't going to leave so he sits down and again begins to think of Lenore and gets depressed.
