Storyboard Text

  • I wish Odysseus didn't get on the ship because in the text it said it could be dangerous.
  • Part 1: Ishmara Title- The Important Arrival
  • "I might have made it safely home, that time, but as I came round Malea the current
  • took me out to sea, and from the north  a fresh gale drove me on, past Cythera."
  • I personally don't think Odysseus made a good choice getting on a ship when the story said there was high winds.
  • Part 2: The Island Of Lotus Eaters Title- Island for Lotus Eaters
  • "I drew it from the coals and my four fellows   gave me a hand, lugging it near the Cyclops as more than natural force nerved them".
  • "Nine days I drifted on the teeming sea   before dangerous high winds".
  • The text foreshadows that the island could be bad so I don't think Odysseus should of came for many reasons.
  • Cyclopes Part 1: Title- Cyclopes Arrival
  • Literary Devices and Effect 1. Epithet- for their own recklessness Effect- To describe the characters better. 2. Archetype- Helen and she is a wicked temptress Effect- To help the readers identify characters or other things better through the symbols.
  • "In the next land we found were Cyclopes,   giants, louts, without a law to bless them".
  • Part 2: Title- Cave Exploration
  • "I wished   to see the caveman, what he had to offer—   no pretty sight, it turned out, for my friends".
  • He should not have entered the cave because the text says that he will most likely get trapped.
  • Part 3: Title- Stabbing Of Cyclopes
  • If Cyclops never entered the cave then he would have never gotten stabbed.
  • If Odysseus never entered the cave he wouldn't have had to worry about escaping.
  • One theme of part 9 is you can not always trust what people tell you. Storyboard created by: Landry Freeze and Taylor Reid
  • Part 4: Title- The Great Escape
  • "So we moved out, sad in the vast offing, having our precious lives, but not our friends".
