Storyboard Text

  • Animals produce more offspring than can survive to maturity to ensure that the population will continure to grow
  • Some of these monkeys have tails, and some don't.
  • The monkeys with tails are able to climb into trees, and therefore can avoid predators
  • Because the monkeys on the ground can't seek shelter in trees, they are more suceptable to being eaten by a predator
  • Big cats, such as tigers, will target the monkeys that can not climb because they realize they are easier to kill
  • Eventually, the monkeys without tails will die out due to natural selection. The only monkeys left will be those in the trees.
