  • GCU TECH 542
  • By: Laniakia Johnson
  • Here's is where I will show a brief youtube video tutorial on how to create a powerpoint presentation.
  • The goal of this tutorial is to instruct how to create a Planet PowerPoint Presentation.
  • STEP ONE: Open PowerPoint When you open PowerPoint, you will see a blank “slide” with a space for a title and a subtitle in two boxes. You can use this page to begin creating your presentation. Type the title of your planet in the “click to add title” box Type your group member’s names in the “click to add subtitle” box
  • Tech Leaders will be assigned and we will complete this step together in the computer lab.
  • STEP 2 At the top of the page, click Insert and New Slide. You’ll see a new blank slide that looks a little different. Click in the “click to add title” box and Type the title of this slide (refer to your project handout for each slide title). You will continue this step for each of your slides! *You can type title and text in those boxes, or you can delete those boxes and add any type of text or picture that you like, by clicking the Insert button.
  • STEP 3 Graphics and artwork. You may use clip art or search the approved sites for FREE artwork and/or videos to link to your powerpoint. A graphic is required for each slide. Use the links on your desktop to search and right click copy the image and then go to the powerpoint to click paste. If you need assistance, ask a tech leader!
  • STEP 4 Play your powerpoint to be sure that you've covered everything on your project handout and rubric. Be sure you have correct punctuation, usage and capitalization. Edit where you need to change something.
