  • We will believe you. Coercive control is domestic abuse. Abuse is rarely a one-off event and escalates in severity and frequency.

You have been asked to watch this video as domestic abuse is one of the most dangerous crimes. The impact of domestic abuse can range from loss of esteem to loss of life.

  • One midwife in five knows that at least one of her expectant mothers is a victim of domestic abuse. A further one in five midwives sees at least one woman a week who she suspects is a victim of domestic abuse. 1 in 6 pregnant women will experience domestic abuse. 30% of abuse starts or worsens during pregnancy.
