Don't worry, if you believe that a mistake is made the Fair Credit Billing Act will insure that you don't have to pay the extra money.
I don't know what to do, the bank charged my account $3000 for a $30 bag of dog food
What is the Fair Credit Billing Act?
The FCBA is meant to protect consumers from unfair or inaccurate billing practices by providing a system for consumers to contest inaccurate credit card bills.
How does It Work?
If a consumer notices a billing error has occurred, they are allowed to dispute the bill by sending a written letter to the creditor. The creditor then has 30 days to acknowledge the dispute and another 90 days to either chargeback the error or send a letter explaining why they think no error has occurred.
Remember You have sixty days after the mailing date to dispute a charge and maintain protections under FCBA. Creditors may honor disputes beyond that point, but there are no legal guarantees.
Ok Thank you so much!
