The central idea of Honor is presented through the text. In the final scene of act two Eddie tries to take advantage of Rodolpho. Eddie tries to "teach" Rodolopho how to box and pucnhes him on purpose. Marco sees this and helps his brother out by standing up to Eddie. "the chair raised like a weapon over Eddie's head".(52). This is a represenitive of honor because he is sticking up for his brother basically telling Eddie that he is stronger.
The central idea of love is shown throughout the text. After Eddie punches Rodolpho, Catherine and him share a dance to the song "Paper Doll". "Dance, Catherine. Come"(52). This is a representative of love because Rodolpho sang that song to her and they love each other.
The Central idea of Family is presented through the text when Beatrice is cleaning for her relatives. She wants it to look nice for them. "I didn't even buy a new table ; I was gonna wash the walls-"(7). This is a represenitve of family because you should do stuff for family and Beatrice does.
