Storyboard Text

  • 1800
  • Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr ended up in a tie after the 1800 election. Now it is up to the House of Representatives to decide who will become the third president.
  • My name is Alexander Hamilton and I am here to persuade you to vote for Thomas Jefferson because he has possessed many impressive political roles and would become a very strong leader
  • We are here today discuss and finally announce who will be our third president
  • Once again I state to you that Jefferson should win because in addition to writing the Declaration of Independence, he served in two Continental Congresses. Also, Burr is unfit for the office and I will convince you al of that
  • I believe that Burr should win because he is very strategic and knows just what to do to win elections and I certainly believe he will, as long as you all vote for him along with me.
  • We also agree with hamilton's idea of voting for Jefferson because he was a minister to France and the secretary of state while in the Continental Congress
  • However, Burr would be abetter president because he went to law school for a few years and many of you in the house are with Burr, so let's just end this and vote for Burr! Jefferson is cruel and Burr is smarter and more intelligent and knows how to rule this country.
  • Thank You everybody for coming today to decide on who will become our third president. The winner if tis presidential race is..... THOMAS JEFFERSON for being an awesome leader and beating out Burr in this election!
