Storyboard Text

  • Montressor runs into Fortunato at Carnival.
  • Montressor tells Fortunato about the cask of Amontillado that he wants Fortunato to taste.
  • AMONTILLADO!
  • The two men walk through the tunnels to get to the wine.
  • I chose the setting of a house to show the darkness and time period. Fortunato is wearing a jester costume because in the story it shows him wearing "motley."
  • Fortunato is confused when Montressor chains him to the wall.
  • Fortunato is surprised when Montressor gets a cask of Amontillado and wants to try it, for it is a very expensive wine.
  • Montressor starts laying bricks around Fortunato.
  • The picture shows Fortunato and Montressor walking through the catacombs so Montressor can give Fortunato the Amontillado.
  • Montressor is done brick laying and leaves the catacombs.
  • Fortunato, still in his drunken state, doesn't realize that Montressor will not give him Amontillado, which made me choose the confusion etched on his face. His arms are up against the wall when Montressor tells him to,
  • Montressor starts laying bricks around Fortunato. What he doesn't realize, is around his first tier, Fortunato's intoxication wore off. Fortunato is screaming for help and Montressor is trying to hide the noise.
  • Montressor is staisfied with the work he achieved and leaves the catacombs with a smug look and proud posture.
