  • Mary Warren
  • Character development: She was very good as a child. She joined the court that condemned witches, she gained "power" and felt she was more important than everyone else. Abby then started accusing Mary of witchcraft which no one believed, then after a while they started believing Abby.
  • Important lines: “I-I cannot tell you how but I did. I-I heard the other girls screaming, and you, Your Honor, you seemed to believe them, and I-It were only a sport in the beginning, sir, but then the whole world cried spirits, spirits, and I promise you, Mr. Danforth, I only thought I saw them but I did not." "Abby, we've got to tell. Witchery's a hanging' error, a hangin' like they done in Boston two year ago! We must tell the truth Abby! You'll only be whipped for the dancin' and the other things!"
  • Theme song: Firework She was a nobody and no one really knew her and then she became important and then everyone knew her.
  • Hysteria, Manipulation, Reputation
  • Hysteria: Marry Warren believed so strongly that she was a victim of witchcraft.
  • Manipulation: Mary manipulated the court after she was accused of witchcraft. She blamed John procter after the girls blamed her. She wanted to maintain a good reputation and save herself.
  • Reputation: Mary had a very good reputation she was never in trouble as a child and always wanted to do good.
  • Movie: Mary was accused before they went into the court room and in the courtroom during the movie.
  • Movie: The girls said they saw Mary's spirit as a "yellow bird" in the court room and officals believe Mary is a witch, Mary runs out of the court room to a swamp and then in the swamp accuses John of being a witch.
  • Both: while in the courtroom about to say the girls were pretending about Mary being a witch the girls turned, they said they saw mary's siprit as a yellow bird in the courtroom.
