Storyboard Text

  • School Bullying PSA
  • Avery, that is not okay, please come with me right now! Nina you too hun...
  • You are stupid and you never do anything right, I hate you!!
  • Your words matter, whether you mean to hurt or not. Once said they can not be unsaid. The hurt can have long lasting ramifications, which left unchecked can be devastating to the child who is verbally abused.
  • I didn't realize that saying mean things could hurt someone so much...
  • School District employees should always be ready to intervene and work through situations in which bullying is likely occurring.
  • Using words to injure is not acceptable
  •   Schools must be safe havens for all children. Strive to build a community of caring informed children. Teaching them about bullying and how it can hurt will help end the cycle of abuse.
  • Thank you for cheering me up!!
  • I am so sorry I hurt you today...please forgive me! I  like playing together, I think I can forgive you!
  • Communication is Key
  • Statistics on Bullying --   About 49% of children in grades 4–12 reported being bullied by other students at school at least once during the past month, whereas 30.8% reported bullying others during that time. --    Most bullying takes place in school, outside on school grounds, and on the school bus. --     Only about 20 to 30% of students who are bullied notify adults about the bullying
  • If you see it... take a stand!!
