Storyboard Text

  • Woman are portrayed as less than men and are considered not capable of doing the same things as a man
  • I just wanna be included in something
  • Your such a G-IRL!!
  • Education is not valued in the school's of Maycomb. They do not care if you are smart, they want you to stay at the same track as everyone else.
  • This class is so easy, I wish I could just move up to the next grade. But they will not let me!
  • During the novel, Jem and Scout start to grow older and realize how different they are. Scout does not understand, but is starting to accept it.
  • Stop talking to me! I am not in the mood!
  • SCOUT: “But I kept aloof from their more foolhardy schemes for a while, and on pain of being called a g-irl…”
  • SCOUT: “...I inched sluggishly along the treadmill of the Maycomb County school system, I could not help receiving the impression that I was being cheated out of something..."
  • SCOUT: “It was then, I suppose, that Jem and I first began to part company.”
