At first, the tone towards Scrooge was cold. He was selfish and hate everything exept for money. He is mean to everyone.
Then, he met the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. They led Scrooge to his past, his present and his future. These ghosts changed him.
At last, Scrooge become kind and friendly. The tone towards him changed. He starts to give poor people money and be kind with everyone in the town.
The mood on Christmas Eve is warm, but also heartbroken.
The mood on Christmas Eve is warm because all the family members have dinner together.
The mood on Christmas Eve is heartbroken because some poor families can't afford dinner, so they can only beg outside in the cold weather.
