  • I don't like the idea of the Bank.
  • Welcome to this slide show. This about Andrew Jackson and the Bank.
  • The Bank was up for a new charter and Jackson vetoed it.
  • We need state banks instead of a federal bank!
  • Jackson thought the Bank was unconstitutional because it was ran by private bankers instead of elected officials, regular citizens had no power, and it help all the banks power.
  • Jackson was re-elected for president and he vetoed the Bank charter.
  • Jackson ordered a withdrawl of all government deposits from the Bank and all funds were placed in state banks.
  • In 1836, Jackson refused to sign a new charter for the bank and it died.
