After working out, Katie felt like an Energizer battery! She felt extremely invigorated, and she was ready to tackle the strenuous task of doing her homework.
"Will you do my homework for me?" her older brother, Tyler, asked.
Katie was infuriated. It wasn't her fault Tyler had a brain the size of a walnut. She had her own things to do. She hoped that the sound of the treadmills would drown out his voice.
"Will you do my chores, too, Katie?"
Even though, Katie loved her brother's laissez-faire attitude, she started feeling really sad. She didn't appreciate how he tried to take advantage of her kindness towards him. She felt tears form in her eyes, and she wanted to get a Kleenex.
"I don't want to do your homework or your chores. You should do all of your work yourself," Katie responded.
"All right," Tyler replied. "From now on, I'll do my own homework and chores."
Tyler knew family was more important than taking advantage of others, so he decided to do his own homework and chores from that point on.
