Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • We are moving in with Brian and his kids.
  • Why do we always have to move?!?!
  • Conflict
  • I don't know to read very well... and we have to read by ourselves.
  • Okay class, take out your reading books. we are going to start reading chapter 2.
  • Rising Action
  • Hi hunny, how was your first day?
  • It was so terrible, i don't know anything the teacher is talking about.
  • When i was in about the second or third grade, my mom married my step dad nd we moved into his house. A new city, new school, and all new teachers with different curriculum.
  • Climax
  • Im sorry that i had to ask you to come in Mrs.Lackey but your daughter is very far behind in her school work.
  • As I started attending my new school it was clear i was behind in quite a few subjects. We hadn't yet learned most these topics. in specific reading.
  • Falling Action
  • It wasn't just the first day of class that was terrible. As each day passed I would get farther and farther behind in school work, because I couldn't read very well. They ready a new chapter every other day and it took me a whole week just to read one.
  • Conclusion
  • lets go down the slide again!
  • As the other students were reading chapter books, i was just now learning. My teacher eventually had to call my mother in to explain to her that my grades were being effected.
  • My teacher would stay with me an hour or two after school to help me catch up and when she couldn't then my family would help me.
  • Finally after working hard after school for a little while, i could worry about who i was gonna play with at recess rather than how bad my grade was  on our reading quiz.
