  • How the British government tax the colonists.
  • King George 3 was in debt  he did the stamp act and it was to raise taxes. The stamp act was the taxes he placed on documents and paper. 
  • "The country in dept the stamp act is needed".
  • "We refuse to buy British goods with taxes".
  • The colonists responded to the stamp act by refusing to buy British products until the stamp act was repealed. They hanged a doll with poem they cut down the doll,chop off its head and set it on fire to try and stop Andrew Oliver from doing a stamp act.
  • How the colonist responded
  • "No taxation without representation". The government was giving the colonists taxes but the colonists had no representation in parliament so it was unfair to the colonists. The colonists were not only angered by the taxes, but also angered at how they had no say in the taxes, which was a complete violation of the Engish Bill of Rights.
