Storyboard Text

  • "If Ala al-DIn was a cat , he should have been drowned at birth." Ala al-DIn was lazy, and there was nothing he hated more than work. Then, a black dwarf claims to be his uncle, and promises to mentor him.
  • Hahaha!
  • I have found him!
  • The black dwarf takes him out into the desert, and sends him into a cave to get a lamp. Ala al-Din can't get out, and the black dwarf leaves, locking Ala al-Din inside. Ala al-Din gets out from rubbing his ring, which had an ifrit inside
  • I am the slave of the ring, and anyone who holds it. What do you want?
  • Get me out of here! I will work hard and be good.
  • Ala al-Din meets the princess, Badr al-Budur, and falls in love. Since he has become very rich, the king lets them be married. Ala al-Din asks the ifrit to make him a palace with 999 windows.
  • The black dwarf comes back and offers new lamps for old. Badr al-Budur accidentally gives away the lamp with the ifrit in it, which is exactly what the black dwarf wanted. The black dwarf then uses the lamp to steal the palace, with the princess in it.
  • Take this old lamp! We don't need it.
  • New lamps for old! New lamps for old!
  • Ala al-din remembers the ifrit in the ring, and tells the ifrit to take him to his wife. Ala al-Din and Badr al-Budur formulate a plan, and trick the black dwarf into drinking sleeping potion. With the black dwarf asleep, they could steal back the lamp, and they told the ifrit in the lamp to send them home.
  • I think I have an idea...
  • I'm scared!
  • Ala al-Din does not kill the black dwarf, but he frees the ifrit from the lamp, leaving the black dwarf with his dream destroyed. Ala al-Din lives happily with Badr al-Budur.
  • You are free!
  • I am the slave of the lamp, and any who holds it.
  • WHAT?
