  • I am the King of England, a Parliamentary Democracy.
  • I am the Queen and me and the King act as Figureheads of the country with little government control.
  • In a Parliamentary Democracy the power is held mainly by the Legislature, the Parliament.
  • In England the Parliament is elected by the people.
  • One advantage of a Parliamentary Democracy is that the people elect the Parliament.
  • This allows the people to control who is making decisions within the government.
  • England is an example of a Parliamentary Democracy where the King and Queen act as Figureheads for mostly ceremonial purposes.
  • This can also be a disadvantage because the people are not the ones making every decision.
  • This is because once the Parliament members have been elected they can vote any way they want to possibly not how the people who voted for them would like.
  • In a Parliamentary Democracy the Parliament has the most power in the government and is elected by the people. This is what makes it a form of Democracy because the people elect the government officials.
  • FUN FACT
  • The British Parliament currently has 1,462 members 650 of which were elected.
  • This process of the people electing the parliament and the parliament making government decisions allows the people to have control in the government without having to hold elections for every government matter.
  • This is a Parliamentary democracy.
  • This form is a well thought form of government because the people have a say in the government.
  • The parliament can be an issue because once they are elected they are not restricted by the people and can make their own decisions, this requires people to make good decisions when electing Parliament members making sure they choose trustworthy candidates.
  • THAT WAS A SUPER FUN FACT!
  • In a parliamentary Democracy the Parliament allows the government to run smoothly while still allowing input from the people.
