  • "The serpent that did sting thy father's life Now wears his crown."
  • Fransisco a guard is relieved by Bernardo. They claim the castle is haunted by a ghost. Hamlet's friend Horatio does not believe them. They all eventually see the ghost and tell prince Hamlet that there is a ghost likely to be King Hamlets.
  • Hamlet learns Claudius poisoned his father.
  • Polonium sends Reynaldo to spy on Laertes in Paris. Claudius orders Rosencrantz and Guildenstern to find out what is causing Hamlets transformation. Hamlet plans to use a play to find out if King Claudius really killed his father.

  • Hamlet murders Polonius when he ran out from behind the tapestry.
  • Rosencrantz and Guildenstern report Hamlets behavior to Claudius. Polonius and Claudius listen in on Hamlets private conversation with Ophelia. Claudius decides to send Hamlet to England. During the play Claudius reacted to the murder that made him look guilty of mudering King Hamlet.
  • Ophelia drowns. Hamlet is confused because of a wrong relationship with Gertrude and Claudius after Claudius killed King Hamlet.
  • Claudius fears Hamlet and has him immediately sent to England. Hamlet refuses to answer to Rosencrantz and Guildenstern.
  • "Besides, to be demanded of a sponge! "
  • Act IV
  • " Protect me, my friends. "
  • Hamlet holds Yoricks skull and says a man cannot decide his fate. Hamlet is poisoned in fencing by Laertes. Before Hamlet dies he kills Claudius. He then recommends Fortinbras to the throne.
