When the pharaoh died the queen would be killed to be with him in the afterlife
The servants where also killed as a sacrifice so that they could serve the pharaoh in the afterlife
Then the mummification preceder began. They would start by polling the brain out through the nose with a hook. Then they would make a cut on the left side of the belly and then cut out the internal organs
They would then leave them to dry and then place them in jars. They then covered the body with salt for 70 days. They then covered them in bandages from head to toe and then placed the body in a coffin.
The pharaohs would be put into a special coffin made by gold and put all their possessions in with them. The queens organs would also be buried with the pharaoh's body. They did this so that they would have that stuff in the afterlife.
Then they put them in a pyramid. When they built the pyramids they built it maze-like so that thieves wouldn't steal the pharaohs possessions and gold. They also made many traps and secret chambers to stop the thieves or confuse them.
