  • Horses have both monocular and binocular vision and an inflexible eye lens. Both of these things can cause the horse to be more cautious of their surroundings so handlers and riders should take extra care to be sure they are seen by the horse.
  • When horses are faced with a dangerous situation, they have to decide if they should flee or stay and investigate. If the horse chooses to fight, they may bite or kick so be alert and pay attention to the horse.
