Storyboard Text

  • “And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.”
  • ”Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore”
  • ”And the silken, sad, uncertain rustling of each purple curtain”
  • ”Nevermore”
  • “Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before”
  • These five illustrated literary elements worked together to help create the mood of darkness in “The Raven” by coming back to sad and dreary thoughts throughout the poem. Examples of this are when the author related back to the death of Lenore. This gives off a dark feeling because it is related to her death and that is a sad feeling.
