world war 1 , or the great war, was a global war originated in europe that lasted on july 28th - nov. 11,1918
congress passed the Selective Service act, which wilson signed into a law on may 18,1917. The act required all men in the U.S. between the ages of 21 and 30 to register for military service.
On 1917 , Germany announces the renewal of unrestricted submarine warfare in Atlantic as German torpedo armed submarines prepare to attack any and all ships, including civilian passengers carriers, said to be sighted in war-zone waters.
