The Odyssey - The Cyclopes' Island

Odysseus's ships discover an island inhabited by cyclopes with sheep.
Odysseus decides to take his twelve best men to investigate the island and hopefully collect some sheep.
Odysseus and his men find a cave which appears to be the home of one of the cyclopes and Odysseus decides to stay and meet it.
The Cyclops returns and eats two of Odysseus's men. Odysseus gives the Cyclops strong wine to inebriate him.
The Cyclops falls asleep. Odysseus's men drive a large wooden pole into his eye.
Odysseus and his men escape by hanging on the stomachs of the Cyclops's sheep as they leave the cave. The Cyclops feels the sheep's back, but not them. They then leave the island, and Odysseus taunts the Cyclops as he sails away.
