Storyboard Text

  • This mess is appalling. From now on, it shall be solid earth. Inhabiting it shall be various plants and animals.
  • Thank you so very much for enhancing this land. Could I invite you to stay with us as our guest, Alantangana?
  • I wish to wed your daughter, Sa.
  • However, the young couple married anyway and fled the territory. Once alone with his wife, Alantangana fathered fourteen children all of which had different appearances and spoke different languages.
  • Not a chance. I simply will not have it.
  • Father-in-law, I cannot comprehend the tongue of my children.
  • Alantangana's offspring diffused throughout the earth's darkness. That darkness, however, frustrated Alantangana; he sent two messengers, the rooster and the tou-tou bird, to Sa to inquire how he was to create light.
  • Of course, it is a curse enacted by myself. Perhaps you should not have stolen my only daughter.
  • We have come to request your assistance. How can Alantangana create light?
  • When the messengers returned, Alantangana was not pleased with the news they brought. He told them to leave and to not return.
  • Okay, birds, I will teach you a song with which you will be able to summon daylight.
  • I grant you privilege to steal my offspring whenever you so choose.
  • So you have noticed my good doings. In return, I ask that I can lay claim to any of your children.
