  • But mom! I don't want to!
  • Sweetie, you have to learn how to drive!
  • Oh my gosh.. did you hear Katie can't drive?
  • I just don't think I'll ever be able to drive, I'm too scared!
  • Hmm.. I could teach you how if you want!
  • Katie has been 16 for at least a month and a half and still has her mom drop her off at school.
  • Hey! Are you ready to learn?
  • I don't think I can do it Mia... I have too much anxiety
  • She starts to hear people whispering about her in the halls, making fun of her because she's scared to drive.
  • It'll be okay, I promise! Don't you want to get your license? You won't be stuck with your mom all the time!
  • I don't know... I like being around my mom! What if I wreck my car?
  • Katie is upset and talks to her friend Mia at lunch, her friend offers to teach her to drive. Katie is unsure and says she'll think about it.
  • Katie, you're learning to drive TODAY.
  • After school Katie meets her friend at her locker for her driving lesson. She hears the mean girls talking about her down the hall and the nervousness and embarrassment gets to her.
  • Mia tries to comfort her, but Katie seems so used to being chauffeured by her mom, she doesn't want to change.
  • Mia decides that now is the time for Katie to learn how to drive. She drags Katie out of the school and into the parking lot.
