Storyboard Text

  • I was born in Beaugency, France on November 12, 1746. I am a mathematician, physicist, and inventor.
  • Bonjour! I am Jacques Alexandre César Charles and I am the genius behind Charles's Law.
  • The law that I developed states that the volume of a gas equals a constant value multiplied by its temperature as measured on the Kelvin scale.
  • Later in 1922 when, I was dead, I won a Nobel Prize in Physics.
  • My genius formula: V1 / T1= V2 / T2
  • My law focuses on the direct relationship between temperature and volume. In simpler terms, if the volume goes up then the temperature goes up and if the temperature goes down then the volume goes down
  • So, say its super cold out and you leave a basketball outside. As the cold gets to the ball it starts to lose its air inside therefore the volume decreases.
  • Sadly I died April 7, 1823, at 76 years old. I accomplished many great scientific feats like the hydrogen balloon. The End
