Storyboard Text

  • Mr and Mrs Casey and Joan are talking about the affairs in London. While Lydia is daydreaming and pretending to listen.
  • I heard that Miss Sarah is engaged to Mr Lardy. The rich across the street. I wished he chose our Joan.
  • Don't worry mama. He was a too pompous to my liking.
  • I will never understand Joan or like her.
  • A few days after the Casey's talking, Lydia and Joan are way to the ball but Lydia and Joan are late by 15 minutes.
  • Sorry. I never knew you were "that excited".
  • Come on Lydia, I wanted to be punctual. I'm indeed excited.
  • The Casey's have arrived at the ball including Mr and Mrs Casey, hosted by Mr Lardy over his engagement. Mr, Mrs and Joan are discussing "important matters."
  • Yes, she was awful.
  • I agree. What do you think Joan?
  • I can't believe that Miss Sarah got engaged she is rude. I feel sorry for Mr Lardy.
  • You are right Lydia but don't be too hard on her she is sister. Let's go and see Rosie now.
  • Lydia and Lily are talking to each other about Joan.
  • I know this is really mean but I don't like Joan. I love her but I dispose her. She is excited for balls, she was all over Mr. Lardy and remember Mr. John him too. I wonder who is next.
  • Of course. I'm not surprised Joan. This happens every time. Last it was Mr. Lardy now Mr. Darkly.
  • Joan has met Mr. Darkly. A new resident to London. She is talking to him. Then Lydia sees her and is not surprised of the event.
  • You are looking ravishing Miss Joan Casey.
  • Why thank you Mr. Lawrence Darkly.
  • Joan has wandered off from her last intrusion so has hid away from the ball. Lily follows her and asks what is wrong. Joan tells her but then Lily is confused of what has been said.
  • I have been lying to myself Lily. I don't want to get married for money, I want to get married for love. People think I will choose anyone but its not true. Its all in act.
  • It's ok Joan.
